Tara McDonald: A Very Cool Chick

Tara McDonald, an English singer-songwriter, gained success with tracks like “Feel The Vibe (’Till The Morning Comes)“, which reached No. 16 in the UK charts & Armand Van Helden’s reissue of “My My My (Funktuary)“, which stayed in the charts at No. 12.

She is passionate about music because she grew up in an environment where her mother loved Soul & Reggae, and her dad loved Rock music. She calls herself a mixed bag of fruits, as she has taste for all music genres. However, at the end of the day, she is more into pop & dance music.

David Guetta & Axewell are some of the artists she loves to work with & she calls Egypt her 2nd home. It is her so called dream to play in front of the pyramids. She can’t stop herself from laughing when she thinks of how she tripped on stage during her performance with David Guetta on Queen’s day at Amsterdam.

She is called a session singer, as she has provided backing vocals for Gary Brooker, Eric Clapton, Roger Waters, Roger Taylor (of Queen), Ringo Starr, Paul Carrack, Leo Sayer, Thunder, Andy Taylor (of Duran Duran), Paul Young, Tony Hadley and SAS Band. More recently, she has worked with Bryan Ferry on his 2007 “Dylanesque” album (a collection of cover versions of Bob Dylan tracks) as a backing vocalist. She also provided backing vocals for many of UK’s TV BBC Shows, such as Strictly Come Dancing, Just the Two of Us and Strictly Dance Fever.

Whenever she is not occupied with concerts, she does gigs in the USA. She is in love with Fashion and adores shopping. Her dream is to release her own solo album, which seems to be coming into shape soon. Recently, she has performed in Dubai at one of local clubs here, and attracted a huge group of music lovers and fans.

She has performed in Iraq (during war time), Afghanistan, Sierra Leone Africa, Bosnia, the Falklands, Kosovo, Oman, Egypt, Guam, Japan, Singapore etc. She is performing next in Bolivia.
