Amidst global happenings and in house chaos, Pakistan has something to celebrate; Pakistan making it to the Cricket World Cup Semi – finals. While certain channels aimed to politicize the India/Pakistan semi-final, it’s the ‘Josh’ duo, Indian-Pakistan fusion band, that were unperturbed about the whole episode.
Rup (Rupinder Magon) was super excited about the game and commented, “I feel such events come once in a life time; an India-Pakistan World Cup Semi Final is like a dream. I think Dhoni and company will do it for us. Looking forward for a great game. Yuvraj and Harbhajan are the men, who should take India through. It will be an amazing game no matter what. Afridi’s team is very talented and they are in a good momentum. It should be India’s day though. ”
Q (Qurram Hussain) said, “Expectations of both nations are so high. Everyone is so charged up. It’s actually mother of all matches. Afridi is confident and handling the matters very well. He is in great form with the ball. Looking forward to one last hurrah from Shoaib Akhtar as well! They should be able to cruise through. Pressure situation, crunch situation, it can’t get better than that. It’s amazing to be in Pakistan at this important game in the sport’s history.”
Josh is an Indian/Pakistan fusion band that may not chant slogans of world peace loudly, however, through their music Josh continues to show cultural harmony between the two nations. It clearly says ‘peace is a way of life’ and at events like the India/Pakistan semi – final, it was about time for both nations to enjoy it together, off of the political platform.
” Success of Pakistan in sports versus Failure in national affairs”. It is very strange to note that Ministers and politicians are making comments and giving advises, suggestions and guidelines to Cricketers, whether these Ministers and politicians will like to see their own performance.Due to these politicians Pakistan has become the most corrupted, back ward and failed state of the world, Due to greed and lust of power of these ministers and politicians recognized criminal and corrupted President and Prime Minister are ruling the country. There is chronic shortage of electricity, there is chronic shortage of clean drinking water even in cities like Karachi. There is chronic shortage of Transport even in cities like Karachi and majority of people travels by sitting on top of roof of buses. Pakistani cricketers have taken Pakistan to great heights by Defeating great nations like Australia and West Indies which are much more healthier and advanced nations of the world. If there are some black sheeps in Pakistani team, then it should be blamed on incompetent and corrupted management of the team who were even supporting the three corrupted players of the team even in the presence of solid evidence. We should be thankful to ICC for removing these players from Pakistani Team, otherwise these corrupted players were continuing their match fixing activities and it was simply not possible to play the Semi final in world cup.
