The Indian manager of Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was killed in a car accident while travelling on a music tour with him from Detroit to Chicago on 9th May 2011. The car Chitresh Srivastava was travelling in crashed and flipped several times into a ditch, killing him and injuring his four associates .
The 1999 Lexus SUV was carrying the managers and promoters of the troupe that was headed to Chicago for an evening show when it was hit by an accident on the highway.
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was not in the car that crashed, but on a bus with the rest of the music band. Chitresh Srivastava had been Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s manager for the last few years.
