An ode to love and women across the world, Brooklyn Shanti releases the infectious “Rani Rani” to the world today.  The infectious Caribbean vibe and guitar strums by producer Thornato meld together like a perfect summer Sunday with Shanti’s Bengali sung vocals.  “’Rani Rani’ is a song about seeing the love of your life for the very first time, and the knowledge that one day you will be together so long as you remain patient.  The title literally translates as ‘My Princess, My Queen’,” said Brooklyn Shanti about the record.  Destined to be a staple at weddings across the world, this is the first single from the Brooklyn Shanti EP which will release later this year.

Brooklyn Shanti, formerly ‘the1shanti’, has been an artist in the mainstream and Urban Desi genres for a decade now.  Originally from Dum Dum Project fame (Punjabi 5-0), he went on to produce 3 solo studio albums, a group album with Func Spec and produce records for countless other artists.  Dubbed “One of the most credible South Asian Rappers” by MTV News, we can only anticipate the incredible reaction from the media and fans after hearing him sing.
