Skyrocketing prices of consumers’ commodities would deprive citizens from lower and middle class to celebrate Eid festivities: Ramzan Chhipa
Karachi: August 11, 2011: The Chhipa Welfare association’s (CWA) Patron-in-Chief and eminent human rights activists, “Ramzan Chhipa” has said that high inflation and unprecedented skyrocketing prices of consumers’ commodities have affected all sections of society but it is the poor and middle class of society that are the top sufferers. This has created chaos in society and citizens have found it impossible to make arrangements for the upcoming festivities of “Eid Ul Fitr.” They cannot even break their fast with appropriate Iftari items.
“Ramzan Chhipa” stated all this on the occasion of commencement of “CWA” free ration distribution campaign among the deserving families in the city. CWA has ensured and maintained complete secrecy in this regard and names and identifications of those that have been provided with the special ration packages are disclosed to none.
“It is time that calls for coming forward for the help of such citizens and one should not depend upon the state,” said Chhipa.
Earlier, “Ramzan Chhipa” had supervised the ration package preparations and directed the volunteers of the CWA to carry out the packaging work amicably in order to deliver the ration packages to deserving families on time.
It is pertinent to mention that “CWA” has received applications from deserving families while more applications are being received at CWAs’ headquarters. Till date CWA has entertained “9332” applications.
CWA has said it is the collective responsibility of society, especially the affording citizens and philanthropists, to come forward for the help of the deserving and the needy.
In this regard, Ramzan Chhipa has appealed to the people to extend their cooperation and deliver their Zakat, Fitra, Alms and Charity to CWA. He assured that every single penny would be spent on the welfare of the needy while their self-esteem would be respected at all cost.
